Arjan van den Boom is the founder and creative force behind Ironwood Custom Motorcycles, one of Europe’s leading custom motorcycle workshops. Known for his distinctive design approach and meticulous craftsmanship, he has built an international reputation for creating motorcycles that combine performance, functionality, and strong visual identity, attracting clients from passionate riders to celebrities and collectors.

For the Harley-Davidson Creators Custom Clash, Arjan embraced a different creative role, focusing on the concept and visual direction rather than the hands-on build. Working on a Harley-Davidson Street Bob, he enjoyed the challenge of translating his design philosophy into a new platform, providing creative input while the dealership handled the execution, an experience that allowed him to explore his creativity from a new perspective.

THE BUILD

Built on a 2026 Harley-Davidson Street Bob, the motorcycle combines rugged scrambler-inspired proportions with classic American V-twin muscle. A raised suspension setup, chain conversion, Pirelli MT60 RS tires, and a Rough Crafts race tail create a compact, aggressive stance, while the vibrant paintwork in Ruby Stone Red challenges traditional expectations of what a custom Harley can be.

Powered by the Milwaukee-Eight engine, breathing through a custom Screamin’ Eagle Vortex Extreme intake and a Vance & Hines Upsweep exhaust, the motorcycle delivers the raw, unmistakable character of a Harley-Davidson, wrapped in a fresh and unexpected visual identity. The result is a deliberate contrast: bold yet refined, elegant yet rebellious.

THE NAME

"Pink Savage” perfectly captures the spirit of this build. The name starts with its daring Ruby Stone Red paintwork, a bold and unconventional choice for a machine with such a raw, aggressive tracker stance. But the real meaning lies in the word Savage. In the Creators Custom Clash, this bike wasn't built to participate; it was built to conquer. Aggressive, razor-sharp, and unapologetically engineered to outshine everything around it.

THE PROCESS

The creation of Pink Savage started with a clear creative direction, translated into an initial moodboard that defined its attitude, proportions, and visual identity. From there, the concept was developed in close collaboration with the dealership, exploring technical possibilities and aligning the design vision with what was achievable in practice.

Throughout the build, progress was shared at key milestones, allowing for feedback, adjustments, and creative input along the way. This ongoing dialogue ensured the project stayed true to its original concept while benefiting from expert craftsmanship in every stage of the process.
